The strategic engineering planning for the redevelopment of three catering and restaurant facilities within historic and modern buildings. Project value £15m.

 

71 Fenchurch Street, WC2

Downie Consulting Engineers were retained to develop through to construction a 450 head restaurant and catering facility. The installation of a specialized kitchen extract system required sympathetic inclusion into the existing building to ensure planning permission.

A specialist caterer was retained to assist in the planning of the Kitchen area, the facility being fully coordinated with the new engineering services including mains, gas and electrical supplies.

The facility was installed with the building fully occupied, requiring careful planning and phasing to allow meals to be served from a temporary facility during the period of installation.

 

37/38 Gerrald Street

We designed through to construction of a 400 head restaurant including the provision of detailed design associated with the commercial Kitchen. The schemes were developed and submitted to Westminster and achieved Planning permission.

 

Frontline Restaurant and Club, Paddington

We designed through to construction of a restaurant, club and function facility within Westminster. The facility was developed from an existing historic building, requiring careful planning and inclusion of acoustic surveys on order to achieve planning permission.
