PROJECT:      London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Laboratories

LOCATION:    London

ARCHITECT:  Architon Architects

SRIF II and III funded research based projects incorporating the strategic planning and delivery of Containment Level 3 laboratories into an existing wing over 3 levels of a 1920s listed building in central London. Project value £20m.

Services were modeled in 3D and issued to the Architects to inform planning submission. It was necessary that the building remain completely operational during construction.

Engineering Solutions

The projects are designed to ACDP requirements with dual research facilities per lobby. Cascade air pressure design is integrated as directed under MRC guidelines, in addition to advanced fumigant purge design with short flues.
